Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes, all of our flowers are British grown. We do not use any imported flowers in our work.

  • We endeavour to only use flowers that have been grown without chemicals. We prefer to choose growers that prioritise sustainable and chemical-free growing methods. Only if flowers are not available through these growers will we look at alternatives.

  • We try to source unusual British flowers, grown without chemicals or pesticides. These blooms may not last as long as imported flowers that are scentless and have been chemically treated. Typically British grown flowers can last between 3-12 days, if the correct measures are taken.

  • Sustainability is at the heart of our business. By using British flowers rather than imported flowers we drastically reduce our carbon footprint. We also choose flowers that are grown with sustainable, chemical-free methods whenever possible. All our packaging is recyclable or biodegradable and we never use floral foam or plastic wrap. There is a blog in our journal section if you wish to learn more about sustainability.

  • We do not include flower food. Instead we recommend you choose a clean vase and position the flowers away from heat sources and direct sunlight. We also advise you re-trim the stems by 2-3cm at a 45 degree angle and change the water every 2-3days, removing any leaves that sit below the water level. Lastly, you can edit your bouquet by removing any fading stems, as these can spread bacteria to the healthy stems.

  • The images on our website are only representative of the style of bouquet you will receive. It will be a natural, garden style bouquet, the flowers being a mixture of size and texture. We cannot guarantee exact flowers or colours, but instead work in harmony with nature, selecting the best seasonal flowers that our growers have on offer from week to week.

  • Unfortunately this is not an easy question to answer. It is dependent on the size of individual flowers and also the cost per stem, which varies, depending on the variety. We offer two sizes, regular and large and believe that we offer generous sized bouquets that reflect the careful conditions in which the flowers are grown and tended.

  • Currently we only offer Friday deliveries, with the exception of English Bank Holiday Fridays, which will be made on a Thursday. We are a small independent business and put sustainability at the heart of our work, we therefore only pre-order flowers to meet demand, minimising wastage. These pre-orders need to placed in advance.

  • Yes, we offer nationwide delivery for our gift bouquets. Our subscription service is only available locally in South East London.

  • Our subscription flowers will be delivered on a Friday. For monthly subscribers this will be the first Friday of the month and for fortnightly subscribers this will be the first and third Friday of the month. We do not offer time slots. Instead we ask that you leave information of a safe space, preferably out of direct sunlight, wind and rain, for your flowers to be left should you not be in to receive them. This information can be inputed during checkout.

  • You can email us directly to arrange your flowers to be diverted to a friend or neighbour that lives in the local delivery catchment area. This needs to be arranged one week in advance of the delivery.

  • You can edit or cancel your subscription in your account. Any changes must be made one full week before your next delivery, as our flowers are always pre-ordered.

  • Yes, you will receive an email to the email address you provided when ordering. You will be allocated a one hour time slot from our courier DPD. Unfortunately we cannot change this time slot. You can track and manage your delivery instructions via this email. If nobody is going to be in to receive the flowers you must advise DPD what to do with the flowers, as flowers are perishable, and need to be delivered on their first attempt.

  • As flowers are perishable, we do not offer re-delivery with a replacement bouquet if DPD have been unable to deliver your flowers after two attempts. It is the customers responsibility to provide accurate delivery information and a safe space to leave the flowers should the recipient be out. The bouquet will come wrapped in a biodegradable hydration pack that keep the flowers fresh for a limited time. If the flowers are not delivered on first attempt, DPD will try once more the following day, after which the flowers will be returned to us to be composted.
